Beau is quite possibly the epitome of the phrase "gentle giant". He is soft-hearted and charitable by nature, and his love of cooking for others is a significant part of what led him into the creation of Danique's. His desire to make those around him happy and comfortable motivates him in most everything he does, which usually exhibits itself in the form of home-cooked meals.
While he is especially eager to please, he's also shy, and nervous of the amount of space that he takes
up—both figuratively and literally. Sal does his best not to make him feel like it's a personal shortcoming, but somehow that makes Beau more anxious to make up for it.
Really though, how did he get so big? Did he eat loads of vegetables and drink his milk growing up? That's besides the point, but it's a little alarming.
